What is PokeRogue?

PokeRogue is a unique rogue-lite game that blends the world of Pokemon with the challenging elements of the roguelite genre. In this game, you'll encounter wild Pokemon, capture them to build your team, and engage in strategic battles in procedurally generated worlds, ensuring a fresh and unpredictable experience with every playthrough.

How to Play PokeRogue Online

Playing PokeRogue online is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Visit https://pokerogue.io/ using your PC or mobile browser.
2. Click "PLAY NOW" to load the game.
3. Log in (if you already have an account) or register for a new one.
4. Choose "NEW GAME" and enjoy!

Gameplay and Controls

PokeRogue retains the turn-based battle system familiar to Pokemon fans but adds a rogue-lite twist with procedurally generated maps. Use the arrow keys to move, the Z key to interact, and the X key to access the menu.

General Controls:

• ENTER or SPACE or Z: Select options or advance dialogue
• BACKSPACE or X: Cancel options or move dialogue along
• ESC or M: Open or close the game's menu
• +/-: Speed up the game

Items in PokeRogue

• Pokeballs: Capture Pokemon.
• Healing Items: Potions and Revives.
• Stat-Boosting Items: Temporarily or permanently increase stats.
• Evolution Stones: Evolve certain Pokemon.
• Battle Items: Enhance Pokemon performance in battle.

Stages and Challenges

Each stage in PokeRogue presents battles against wild Pokemon, trainers, or powerful bosses. Trainer battles test your knowledge, while boss battles mark the end of each biome.

Biomes

Every ten stages take you to a new biome with its own theme and set of Pokemon. Boss battles at the end of each biome reward you with charms and egg tickets.

Your Persistent Rival

Face your rival at specific stages (8, 25, 55, etc.) and earn EXP charms and an EXP Share for your team.
