Are my data kept confidential? The QueryX server does not retain any database content. When you use QueryX to generate a SQL query, the database content is never seen by the QueryX backend. When you use the “Connect my database” option, QueryX simply invokes the SQL query at the location of your database and displays the result on QueryX Chat. This result is never stored.

How does QueryX resolve SQL query generation? QueryX first uses the information you provide about the database structure (tables, columns, joins) and the descriptions you give for each field if they are not explicit from a natural language standpoint or when you want to handle synonyms or acronyms.

Specific business rules can be specified, typically when you want to handle specific mathematical operations between different values in the database (e.g., turnover corresponds to volume multiplied by unit price) or define specific conditions (e.g., a bad cholesterol level means T-CHO higher than 6.7).

Field descriptions and business rules can be defined using the QueryX Chat config sub-menu.

Are the answers fully accurate? QueryX Chat will do its best to match a question in natural language to the corresponding SQL query. Although this product surpasses the performance of its competitors, especially the generative AI engines for chat or coding, the performance depends on the nature of the question and the quality of the configuration.

QueryX will notify you if a question is out of context and needs to be asked differently, and it will also alert you when it is not absolutely sure that the generated query is valid. You can then rephrase your question for better accuracy.

If a generated query is unsatisfactory, you can mark it as invalid using the thumbs-down icon. QueryX will use this information to improve. Conversely, don’t hesitate to reward QueryX with a thumbs-up when you are satisfied, as this will help QueryX improve over time.

Which language should I use? You can write or dictate your questions in your natural language. Most common languages are supported, including English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, and many more.

Can I ask a question related to the answer of previous questions? When using QueryX Chat in “connected database” mode, you can select preceding answers by clicking on the right icon in the chat, so your next question will take into account the results of those selected previous questions. For instance, you can ask QueryX Chat to display a specific list (e.g., list all patients born before 1950), then ask QueryX Chat to refine the answer (e.g., from this list, which are female).
